Regenerative Agroecology
With the earth's growing population and the negative effects of climate change, the agricultural sector is under pressure to find ways of increasing food production while promoting environmental enhancement.
Regenerative agroforestry shows promise for large-scale change, with its focus on soil health, enhanced biodiversity and promoting carbon storage while preserving and diversifying production. It's an approach that environmentally conscious farmers and consumers can actively support.
Agroecology focuses on preserving biodiversity and local food sovereignty while using and preserving traditional knowledge. The lessons learned when using this philosophy are invaluable for implementing sustainable agriculture at the community level.
We believe that a blend of Regenerative Agroforestry and Agroecology systems have the potential to produce more food, store CO2, increase biodiversity and restore degraded land while not reducing a farmer’s income (it may even increase it). These systems will support rural families and create a more livable landscape for humans and animals, demonstrating that environmental conservation and social justice can co-exist.
